So, catch up time...

Birmingham has recently been given the title airport of the year, aswell as being the uk airport with the highest growth in August (actually it was the 4th busiest month in its history!).  Links to both below from the airport website:

Things are set to get even better, with new routes starting including Easyjet to Belfast International, Ryanair to Milan and Krakow, extra flights to Istanbul with Turkish, and Monarchs newest services to Funchal, Munich and Sharm el Sheikh.

Meanwhile at East Midlands...
East Midlands ground handling has become carbon neutral, and flybe are expading at EMA to compensate for the loss of bmibaby with new routes to Amsterdam, Paris, Jersey and Chambery.
